Come July, Shock July??

The FIFA world cup began and this event is one of the most-awaited events across the world. Personally, what i know of football is because of my dad. We always used to sit together and watch the games and would be cheering for Brazil. That's what we have been doing for the past 3 World Cups. When the tournament started I had 4 teams as my favourites: Brazil, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal. And now only 2 of them remain..and that too the unexpected ones. Come July, and it was a day of shock for me yesterday when i saw Thiery score that goal for France in the 57th minute and belieev me, every minute of the 33 minutes left in the full time play left my heart pounding. I just knew Brazil had to score but things just happened otherwise. The Brazilians didn't display anty signs of their world-class abilities yesterday. I guess it was just not meant to be..now a wait of 4 long years to see them back in action. A special mention to players like Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Zi Roberto...who are not going to be around for the next world cup. Thank you for providing so much entertainment..we'll miss ya :(
The second shock for me yesterday was that our timetable for the coming semester had been mailed to us and I have 7 days a week college. Guess that also sounds like something that I was really looking forward to;) Till the next time, chao!!
