Smiles for Miles

"Smiles for Miles"....yes thats exactly how I am gonna term the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon thats happening today. The response that not only Mumbaikars but people from all over the world have given to this event has been really phenomenal!!! Both celebrities and non-celebrities are running with equal zest today.
What can be said about the celebrities is that they are actually sources of revenue generation and they have lots of money running on them but what ultimately matters is "running for a cause" and the gesture to do something, be it an orphanage or an old age home or any such institution. It does require a heart and so their efforts should be lauded. As for the commoners running, hats off to them too!! And what is more commendable is the fact that people of all age groups are takin part: senior citizens, heart patients and little school children. Thats the spirit and thats the motivation.
