Indian Idol...???

The show, Indian Idol has been on air for the past 3-4 months now and I have never watched it regularly, contrary to the hype it has created in India, especially in the metros here. I used to watch the initial episodes and was quite bored with it.
Yesterday i was hearing FM and there was a radio recap of the final show which happened day before. Just two contenders now vying for the top slot. And i got an opportunity to hear them yesterday. Must say, they both sing well..tough choice!!

Contestant No.1: Abhijeet Sawant(pic on the left)
Strengths: Pleasant voice, smile, presentation and style.
Prediction: Tipped to win

Contestant No.2: Amit Sana(pic on the right)
Strengths: Rich voice with a sound classical base, innovative
Prediction: Tough opponent in Abhijeet and may lose out in the end stages though Bhilai, the place from where Amit hails wouldn't hope so!!!

My vote, just on the basis of hearing 3 songs of each goes to Amit Sana....his voice touched me somwhere and that's very important while listening to any form of music. The voice or the song through which you are able to connect to the listener is what makes a good song.

The phone lines or sending SMSes are open for voting till 5th March. Everyone is busy voting 'n' no.of times for their favourite person...:)
As for me, May the better person win!!!

Last but not the least, these two are performing at the Filmfare awards nite which is gonna be telecast live 2day. And the reason , undoubtedly for me being excited is because SRK has 3 nominations..:D:D!!! Filmfare, being on its 50th anniversary have changed their trophy colour from black to gold. And SRK, as usual with his live performance is gonna rock and walk away with the award for Swades..:)Will post that pic of his soon...:)

Im not gonna be watching the awards tonite..:( as i have an exam tommorrow..so keeping my fingers crossed for that...:) That's it from me now....take care!!
