21st Century Life-less-ness....

In the hectic world of now, very few people have time for themselves. The demanding routines keep people busy 365*24*7. And when people get time they only have time to think what's "less" in their lives and that's how people and their surrounding environment has become. When I thought upon it, I came across quite a few "lesses" like:

Our communication : Wireless
Our telephone: Cordless
Our youth: Jobless
Our religion: Creedless
Our labour: Effortless
Our attitude: Careless
Our Education: Valueless
Our Follies: Countless
Our Bosses: Hopeless
Our Arguments: Baseless
and Our Salary: Very-less....

This is just the beginning...the list can go on and on!! People will gladly chip in on the "less"er side. Its time to start thinking about what we do have in our lives. Anymore "lesses" anyone;) ???

T-H-I-N-G-I-N-G

I Know you are the v-e-r-y t-h-i-n-g
But You are not e-v-e-r-y t-h-i-n-g
I Admit I'm selfish
But I Want e-v-e-r-y t-h-i-n-g

Education Graph Revisited - Filhaal Revamped

One of my favourite songs is the title song of the movie "Filhaal". To revamp that song to describe my education graph felt like spoiling a good song but hey "whats life without a li'l bit of humour" ;)
So here it goes and I'm jus changing the first four lines....

Pehli mein likha kuch bhi nahi...
Roz naya kuch HW karti thi main....
Jo bhi likha tha kuch nahi samjha hai...
Bas woh lamha filhaal jeeya tha...

Paanchvi mein likha kuch bhi nayi...
Roz naya kuch novel padti thi main...
Jo bhi pada tha kuch nahi yaad hai...
Bas woh lamha filhaal jeeya tha....

Dasvi mein likha bahut kuch tha...
Roz naya kuch subject sochti thi main...
Jo bhi socha tha kuch nahi palle pada hai...
Bas woh lamha filhaal jeeya tha....

Barahvi mein dekha bahut kuch tha....
Roz naya crush nihaarti thi main...
Jo bhi nihaara tha sab crush ho gaya hai...
Bas woh lamha filhaal jiya tha...

Engg mein seekha bahut kuch tha...
Roz naya concept dimaag mein bithathi thi main..
Jo bhi bithaya tha kuch nahi kaam mein aaya...
Bas woh lamha filhaal jeeya tha....

MBA mein.......(Still thinking...ill ans tat later:p)
Bas yeh lamha filhaal jee rahi hoon....

What matters is "living for the moment". Don't miss out on those moments of life while you are growing up, studying, working...be it in whatever stage you are....also enjoy side by side along with whatever you are doing!!

As You Wish.....

As you wish...
So shall it be....
The dice is rolled...

The candle is lighted....
And I have stopped blowing....

JAVA ya Zeher...???

One of the interesting fwds that I got. This acts like an exact remembrance to my final year engg where our group was struggling with the project to be done using Java,JSPs and EJBs. It was an experience in itself and believe me at the beginning it actually felt like Zeher. My mom had actually stopped making beans sabzi at home because I was fed up when I intially couldn't deploy a bean.(EJB = Enhanced Java Beans) So this song is dedicated to all those "beanic" memories which taught me a lot:)

JAVA and J2EE song...

the woh lamhe song, in a new style:

Woh classes
woh objects
koi na jaane
the kaise applets
oh oh oh
interface
woh abstract classes
woh abstract classes......

woh classes..........

na main jaanu
na tu jaane
oh....
kaise the instances
koi na jaane
kahaan se yeh swing aayeee
AWT bhi sang laayi
khaffa ho gaye hum
barbaad ho gaye hum.......

woh classes.....

Data ke abstaraction se ..
server hil gaya,
Multithreading ke application se..
exception aa gaya.....

Kahaan se J2EE aayee
JSP bhi sang laayee
Khaffa ho gaye hum
Barbaad ho gaye hum........

woh classes................

Humanometer

There are a lot of things about human nature that intrigues me. Its a study in itself...even day-to-day observations can become a good guide by itself. Once of the facets of human nature that surprises me is the colour/colours that people don. They can broadly be classified as white with fewer colour variations, black and gray with a lot of variations. The figure is self-explanatory and in case the message is not conveyed i'll get back on that.

P.S: For people thinking that I really have a lot of time, yes...I did have a lot of time free today, or should I say made time to just get a lil creative:p

Oops...the text in the fig is not clear at all...so jus repeating myself...

1) White people occasionally don colors, generally nice and genuine.

2) Gray people always donnin colors, most dangerous cos u never knw what they mite spring on ya!

3) Black people, they know only one color, but they can don other colors sometimes

Indian entry to Oscars....a Paheli???

I knew the duel between art and commercial cinema had been going on for long. I also knew that the gap was trying to be bridged by roping in commerical actors to act in the so-called parallel cinema. I also knew that lobbying exists in almost every place nowadays. The nomination of Paheli as the Indian entry to Oscars has really brought the credibility of these judges and their decisions into focus. This year the other films that were the contenders were very good and so all the more there was a tough competition. Black, a classic in itself should have been the default choice but lack of songs and it being English led to it been overlooked. But do these judges even know what is quality?? Its by far the best Indian film made in recent times that is on par with international standards. It also brought the age-old teacher-student relationship into limelight and showed how physically challenged people turn their challenges into opportunities. Page 3 brought the socialites into focus and the behind-the-scene look of film industry on the big screen. Iqbal embodied the sheer spirit of human will power surpassing all hurdles to achieve the ultimate goal. Swades gave a patriotic feel and indicated the abundance of potential still waiting to be tapped in India. In all this where does a film based on Rajasthani culture and ghosts feature...that is seriously a Paheli to me???

P.S : Paheli getting selected and my liking for SRK are two completely independent events:)
